you simpally cannon solve for a single value let me show you: 1/5x - 2/3y=15 multiply both sides by 3 3/5x-2y=15 add 2y to bolth sides 3/5x = 2y + 15 multiply bolth sides by 5 3x = 10y + 75 divide bolth sides by 3 x = 10/3y + 25 that is the best you can get with this knowledge. If here was a second equation we could plug in this x value (10/3y + 25) to solve for y, then plug that in to solve for x but with this knowledge i cannot get any further.
