Well, I do not have the epic with me. However, I can give you the comparisons of what I know. Grendel and Beowulf are contrasted on many levels. Grendel mass murders for pleasure but also because when the men would sing of the gods, it would bring pain to his ears and he did not enjoy that, so... he did what he could to get rid of it. Beowulf, on the other hand, kills for his king, his people. He battles for protection against the "evil of the world" for his king, since he is a kinsman. Grendel was born from another world to be feared, while beowulf was born to be filled with glory, to protect others and fight for them. || This is what I have from what you have given me.
