This is right triangle. Let's calculate the hypotenuse through Pythagoras:
(PO)² = 4² +3² →PO = 5
(1) sin(x°) = opposite side/hypotenuse = 3/5
(2) cos(y°) = adjacent side/hypotenuse = 3/5
They share te same ratio.
Why?
We know that : x° + y° = 90 or y° = 90° - x°
Plug the value of y° in (2)
cos(90°-x°) = 3/5. therefore:
sin(x°) = cos(90°-x°)
