The thesis statement, or claim, of an argumentative essay should A. summarize the general topic of the essay. B. establish the focus of the essay and the writer’s position. C. take into consideration how the audience feels about the topic. D. contain a citation to support the writer’s viewpoint.
An argumentative essay needs to establish a clear opinion of why you take either side, for example if you wanted to write an essay stating that cats made better pets than dogs, you need to clearly explain why. So i can look at the question and automatically tell that the answer is not C or D. And it is not A because you are not writing a summary, are you? B is the correct answer, please give me a FIVE-STAR Rating. Have a good day:)
