Sketch the shape of the graph of the function y = bx given each of the following values of b.
Whenever the equation of a graph is in the form y = mx + b, m is slope and b is y-intercept. So in y = bx, there is no constant after bx, so y-intercept is 0, the origin. And so (0,0) is a point of the graph. Therefore b is the slope. You can draw the slope as rise over run, so if the slope is 2, go up two and right 1 to get the next point.
