The first step is to use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of the missing side. c² = 8² + 6². c² = 100 c = 10 Now knowing this, using our sin = opposite over hypotenuse and cos = adjacent over hypotenuse rules, we now know that sinx is 8/10 and that cosy is 6/10. What relationships do the ratios share? They have the same last number / denominator. P.S. I'm not 100% sure if this is right but I think it is. Good luck!
