In the book the outsiders by S.E. Hinton, how are ponyboy, dally, and johnny heroes??

Ponnyboy, Dally, and Johnny are heroes because they stood up for whats right basically 

Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally were definitely heros. They saved the kids from the fire at the church, they were also heros because they stood up for each other. Even before the church fire, Johnny was a hero for saving Pony's life when Bob was drowning him. Hope this answer helped! :)
