24x-8=1/3      +8  24x+1/3 ---------- 24    24 just divide 24 by 1/3 and you have it i did the hard part already

[latex]6x-8=\frac{1}{3}\cdot(18x+24)\\\\6x-8=\frac{1}{3}\cdot18x+\frac{1}{3}\cdot24\\\\6x-8=6x+8\ \ \ \ /+8\\\\6x-8+8=6x+8+8\\\\6x=6x+16\ \ \ \ /-6x\\\\6x-6x=6x-6x+16\\\\0=16-false\\\\x\in\O[/latex]
